I know, I know- how dangerous could it be to stand on one leg, but it is a HUGE cause of lower back pain and sciatica. 90% of the time when a client comes into our studio and they have lower back pain and I can see one of their hips is hiked up I can bet you that they stand with their weight in one leg most of the time. It a big destabilizer of the SI joint (hip bones connected to the base of the spine). When that area is destabilized then your lower back is at risk for "going out", or herniating. This is also a big cause of sciatica.
